Enhance Your Business Online: Up to €2,500 Grant Available for New Website Development or Upgrades

Considering applying for a Trading Online Voucher in Sept 24? The TOV will be stopping on 30th Sept 24, so get your skates on!

What is the Trading Online Voucher (TOV) Scheme?

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme is specifically designed to help small businesses, with up to 10 employees, expand their online presence, increase sales, and reach new markets. Whether you’re looking to develop a brand-new website or upgrade an existing one, this scheme can significantly ease the process of establishing or enhancing your online trading capabilities.

The scheme provides financial assistance of up to €2,500, with a requirement for the business to co-fund 50%. This means you can cut the cost of developing or upgrading your website by half, making this crucial investment much more affordable. Along with the financial aid, you also receive valuable training and advice tailored to help your business thrive online.

Making well-informed decisions is essential for any business, and the free support and training provided by your Local Enterprise Office (LEO) ensures you’re equipped to choose the best online solutions for your needs. The training sessions cover a wide range of topics, including website development, digital marketing, social media strategies, and search engine optimization. This impartial guidance will empower you to decide on the best online trading options for your business.

If you have already benefited from a Trading Online Voucher, you are eligible to apply for a second voucher if your website requires upgrades. The funding can be utilized for various improvements, such as adding payment facilities, integrating booking systems, or developing new customer-facing apps. It can also be applied towards subscriptions to cost-effective online retail platforms, enabling you to quickly establish or enhance your online retail presence.

What is the eligibility criteria?

The vouchers are specifically aimed at businesses with the following profile:

  • The TOV grant is available to businesses based in Ireland only
  • Business with a limited, or no, e-commerce presence;
  • 10 or fewer employees;
  • Turnover less than €2 million;
  • Trading for at least 6 months;
  • Located within the jurisdiction of the Local Enterprise Office to which the application is made.

Previous voucher recipients can apply for a second voucher, provided they have submitted their final claim for the first one. This ensures that businesses continue to grow and evolve their online presence effectively.
